I have a spare set of wheels that came with my QTS. They have been powder coated in a graphite colour in the past but are in need of a once over again. Can I rub them down and spray them or will they need another visit to a specialist?

If I can spray what process should I follow?

Ally primer? - Base Coat - lacquer?

Any tips welcomed as i've only ever painted small parts in the past.

Need to strip all the powder coat off reall so easiest way is to get them sand blasted etc

Ah well that makes my life easier in a way I guess. If they have to get blasted i'll just get them coated again. Now I need to decide on a colour. Graphite grey again or satin black, hmmmmm.

I was debating on loads of differant colours silver grey and even white but didnt want black as the cars black so wanted something differant so went to a local paint shop near work 'colourtone' in stockport.

Looked at there colours and just picked one that i had in my head and was pleased with the outcome to say it was the first attempt at painting anything really did rush them a bit and need doing again soon but for £40 i was chuffed.

Heres them finished

Mine is nogaro blue so the dark rim works pretty well I think :) Where did you get the Quattro stickers?

The rims I have are still bolleros (sp?) but are a different offset to the standard qts rims. I believe they are off an audi 80 convertable :)

Your more than welcome mate just make sure you lacquer over them as i forgot to so ended up just sticking them on lol
