no electrics!

2002 A4 TDI (B6) (MY FRIENDS CAR)Electric windows/mirrors/reverse/interior lights/central locking/alarm.......have stopped working!i connected vag com but it wont connect comes back ''no response from controller''.Ive been told this is the conveniance ecu located under carpet passenger side front, any one else have similar problems?Has ecu got be replaced or is it an easy repair,?Any advice is appreciated.

it could just want several resets doing
the "no response from controller " means exactly that
try it with engine on and engine off then try the other modules and see if any connects
could also be the port on the computer which might not be working correctly

computers ok.diconnected the conveniance unit,reconnected same thing

if worse comes to worse there is a secondhand one on ebay at moment

pity its the wrong part number,il just keep lloking or try get it repaired.

Best buy a new one which has a modified part No and not a second hand one with same part No...
