Shouldn't the front tyre be swapped to the near side? Always thought the points went forward?

Well i hope you got some money back from whoever you bought it from to pay for it....

You wouldnt of had to. If a car breaks within 6 months of having it you have every right to return it and get a full refund or get money towards your costs of fixing it. Some garages honour it but if you get awkward ones is suppose thats when you go down the route of legal advice etc...
