bought a maf for £70 replaced it and driveability is alot smoother but i still have the revs dipping after if settles back down after reving
any other ideas
i thought it might be an air leak?

thanks for the response i have noticed that when the car is cold it hardly does it
would this be a temp sensor thingy?
any ideas plz....

Temp sensor is a common fault and can throw all sorts of wierd behaviour. £20 from a dealer and an easy fit so I'd change it anyway.

Same thing, so not that then.

Do you have vag-com? You can use it to get readings of things like expected and actual MAP.

idle contol valve? or could be the throttle control unit

have got vag.com but waitin for cable to arive
where abouts are the contol valve and throttle unit?
