Looking to replace 1996 A4 alloys

Can anyone help?
Friend has just bought a 1996 A4 1.9tdi (standard spec i believe) and it has some hideous after market wheels on it which he wants to replace, pref with original 15" size.
Can anyone help with offset, stud pattern and tyre size to get it back to somewhere near original wheels.
Audi customer care could only get as far as 6J x 15" (whatever that means)

The stud pattern needs to be 5 x 112 and the offset from ET35 to 42 will suffice.Anything up to dia 18 will fit without mods th arches etc,
