Hi all,

Not been on herefor some time, due to me leaving the missus. (bout time i did though!)

Recently, I changed the plugs and DV's to the 710N's.

Car pulled better that when i got it.

Now there is sometimes a feel of the boost kicking in and out during hard acceleration.

Could this be due the the N75 valve type thingy??!!

If so, where is the valve located? (pics would help me loads!) and which is the best valve to fit? same of different one.

Due to me leaving the other half, my plans for the re-map are well and truly out of the window at the moment. So at the moment, the car is just standard!

I've checked the 'f' hose and TBB, both appear to be ok.

Could there be anything else causing this fluctuation. It's not every time, but most of the time. Some days the car flies and yet moments later it feels sluggish, then a bit later on flies again. really strange!!!!

Cheers in advance peeps. Not got much net access at the mo, keep checking via mates pc's etc.

Dan

P.S.
any donations are more than welcome to help me setup a new home!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif

Was the car the final nail in the cofin then?

I bought mine and the wife didn't know about it! had it in the neck for weeks!

No.
But will clean it later and see if it makes a difference, no longer got laptop access to test it via vag-com.

I'll get it checked.

Cheers.

Dan... DONT drive the car on boost till you get it fully checked for boost leaks. If you do have one (most of the time hard to notice on the TBB & F-Hose) you WILL destroy a turbo... simply not worth driving the car hard.

If you have VAG-Com - log block 115 and check requested boost vs. actual boost. If it is a leak the car will not achieve requested boost.

Get it to a specialist who can pressure test the system. If your a handy man make a pressure tester yourself:

http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/27t_pressure_tester.pdf

Stick some soaky water on the common spots with this tester in place pressurised and you will soon see/hear the leak.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR HARD. I did this and my turbos lived through it - others have not been so lucky. All it takes is for the turbo to over spin once and it will run a bearing... bye bye.

No but seriously things only get better especially when you drive an S4........I would check all the hoses again just to make sure there is not any slight tears in the hoses......soapy water trick as well to help .........clean the MAF out ........and take it from there

Cheers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif
