Recently I have spend quite a bit on my lovely A5 2.7 mutlitronic... 4 new tyres, tracking, brake pads and disks, full service including transmission fluid.

Over the last few weeks its developed a judder when accelerating, its more noticeable when on a motorway and when you put your foot down to overtake, or when going uphill.

Ive had the garage that changed the tyres - balancing and tracking etc. but its still there...

Can anyone suggest anything?

James

Could be a dodgy tyre?

Trying swopping both fronts with rears and see if it's still there, if it solves it you know it's on the rear!

If it's not that it sounds like the gearbox is vibrating under load and you'll need to do some serious investigating I'm afraid.

Get it connected to Vag-com to check for any fault codes. A lot of the times issues can be present and fault codes are logged without any dash warnings. Who changed the fluid in the gearbox ? . Was the correct fluid and filters used.
If it's an issue with the engine may be short of fuel for some reason as it only appears to be struggling under load. Logging fuel rail pressure to make sure it's good might be a start.

Thanks for the advice guys...

The gearbox fluid was serviced by an Audi specialist in Leeds. Ive left the car with them today to see if they can sort whats wrong???

Its defiantly not the tyres as I took it back to the garage that fitted them, they checked all wheels and what they could under the car as well... It feels like the engine wobbles when you apply torque...

Lets see what the Audi specialist comes back with today - hope its a simple fix :0/

Well guys.... The Audi specialist in Leeds cant find any fault on the car????

They have taken it out on the road (they can feel the judder) and had it on the ramps and plugged the car in to see if there's any faults - everything looks OK...

Think I will be returning to the tyre garage!!! :eek:/

Had the exact problem on previous car... When in high gear and putting your foot down it will cause juddering when accelerating.... Only thing i could think was dmf and it starting to slip... I drove it around 20k miles like that and nothing changed.
Or other theroy i had was esp was faulty and was cutting out engine speed?
I never found the fault. If u do please let us know.
All your situations describe points when your car is put under stress. So sounds like something is slipping but i dont know what.... Not tech savy but idea savy
