So the rear end creaking was getting to me and as the shocks have done 180K (original) its sitting on the springs and not doing much damping.
Then the front end low speed clunk returned suggesting a lower control arm issue again funny as they are less than 25K old.
Front end first as I am not ordering any parts till I have eyes on.

All fell apart pretty easily with Mr Grinder only out for one troublesome nut.
The rear arm was wobbling so that failure is confirmed

The front arm seemed OK but the shock bush was blown.

Then dropped this weird thing out....supposed to do damping.....nope

least I didn't have to do the whole pinch bolt thing again.

Moral if the shocks are gone the new arms will follow....!

Drop the rear end work later...

Are the lower arms OEM? They seem rather well worn for 25k. My mistake was to put some less known top links (dont even remember the brand), 15k later they are simillar to your lowers...

TPS finest. The other side is fine. The shock has zero resistance (floppy) add a few potholes of which we have many I guess.

Few boxes arrived...

More Arms

And some other stuff....

Think a shock should have some resistance I can compress this by hand...and it doesn't come back quick...no oil leaks and a string of MoT passes

Busy weekend me thinks....
