Help with Jukebox

Is it me or us Audi MMI a nightmare to use?

I'm trying to upload my CD's to the jukebox as the laptop is a bit poorly, kn....rd in other words!


Can you upload CD's and DVD's direct as they are greyed out when I click import as is the IPod. Only thing I can get to load is the SD card but I can't update that until laptop fixed!

I tried the entertainment forum but no joy.

Licensing issues prevent uploading from CD I think.

You can rip from CDs, but you need to make a VCDS change I think.

I thought you used to be able to, at least I am reasonably sure I could in my old 2009 SB, but as said isn't possible in the newer ones. I didn't realise there was a VCDS mod to enable it though. May have to tap someone *cough Warren_s5 cough* to enable it.

Copied this from another site (doesn't look like need VCDS, just hidden menu). Never tried it myself as I use laptop, but here is the info:

Audio CD import with CD-Text support in MMI 3G: According to unconfirmed post at motor-talk.de (Codierungen hier sammeln? Seite 56 : Das kommt wohl einfach auf die Wunschhöhe an. Der Spiegel kenn...), go to MMI 3G hidden menu (see above how to enable it), diagnosis, settings, multimedia import of copy / no ripping to copy / ripping set.

Am I right in thinking though that VCDS is required to enable the hidden menu?

Can't decipher the German, but would be great if you can unlock the import menu.

Yes it can be done, I've done mine with vcds

I can in my b8, upload CDs and sd cards but not iPhone.

Cheers. I've asked NHN for a price for the folding mirror upgrade so When he replies I'll ask about doing this at the same time along with a few other bits such as the HHA.

Sorry to resurrect this one but all help appreciated.

I've had CD ripping enabled and ripped a lot of disks but it only stores the album name in the jukebox.

I select all files and even tried one track at a time but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong please?

Ps how do I upload photos from iPad now?
