That's it! I'm gonna try and run it in as much as possible since I Iive nearer to bill than you do. Try and get 1000 miles before mapping..
Sounds like a plan...I'd have had to took it home changed the oil and turned around and drove back lol

Bill did the initial bedding/breaking in on the dyno and some road miles before mapping..he had a few trips to get the wheels aligned because my rear tie bars were crap and broke lol.....he did say that the final peak figure of 596.5bhp was with the engine still being a bit tight....I don't know if I would make more power but a extra 3.5bhp would be nice not that it's really needed hahaSo can you do a power run on a car without running it in at all? I thought that you needed to do at least a few miles to bed the rings in.
So is it possible this beast is actually making more power now?

Ah that explains it. Not sure it would be worth driving all the way back to get a new dyno printout hoping it says 600bhp haha.
Totally worth the drive!
I know the power difference is negligible, but it would annoy me being so close to 600! Find a dyno close to home and see what it makes!

I have a car with 395rwkw (the commonly used way to measure power here in Australia) and it's a little sad that I'm not in the 400rwkw club
maybe sometime it will see a dyno but going things like dyno days ain't really my thing
Personally,I hate the sound of the car on a dyno.....I just have visions of pistons and rods everywhere, but have had a few good meets along the way, even if the car sits it out.
I'm glad you're having fun with it....the sheer grunt is amazing isn't it.....the only car I've had that wasificantly quicker point-to-point was an ex GpN Escort Cosworth with all the rally trimmings but it was a hard car to drive daily.
Rob, wise words there. Now all you have to remember is to watch your speed. You know they constantly speed trapping around here, Your car has come a long way from the way it was, Just enjoy it. Hopefully get a chance to catch up soon. xIt is what it is the haha the final figure is the final figure
Your Police up in Scotland do seem very zero-tolerance & eager

Getting it down,or down on the road?....LOLYou need to work on getting that power down
You need to work on getting that power down
Blue controller has been fine for traction
Keep full spec secret
Noooo, I must know!
There's something about a Ferrari-killing hatchback that's just so amusing.
With that and 450lbs,it no doubt should be fine....I never really noticed the controller working, which must be a good thing.
Bet you're looking forwards to 620+bhp on a nice dry road.
Noooo, I must know!
And that is why I would love to know. I'm a long way away yet, but this is my goal. Beat a Ferrari. I'm not demanding to know, simply stating my interest.
Some like to keep their secret formulae, and some prefer open source if you like, but that's for each to decide I guess.
I hope Bill won't mind what I've asked as it doesn't compromise any of that, but the whole business of extracting 300+bhp/litre from these engines fascinates me.

Spec is s333cya badger edition haha
