F#@$!!! RNS-E Latch won't release...

I'm trying to pull the RNS-E to install the bluetooth, and the upper right latch won't release.

This is an LHD dashboard, so it's right nect to the glove box... anyone know if the glove compartment comes out easily,and if so if there's a handy path to the back of the RNS-E to slip a flat-blade screwdriver up there and release it that way???

Not sure if you can get to the latch from the side though, but worth a go if it's really stuck.

Are you using the correct release tools, is it the right way up?

i had a similar prblem last week you wont be able to get anything behind the glovebox is easily dropped with 7 bolts 3 along the top 1 at the back inside the box 2 on the underside of the glovebox and one on the side behind the cover which youll need to open your door to get into. i spent 3 hours and ended up destroying the clip im now looking for replacements if anyone knows of any?

Ended up MAKING a tool to release the clip from inside...

Thanks for the glove box info... thank goodnes mine failed on the glovebox side!

lucky you i had my climate unit out and everything T_T i can laugh about it now but it was a friday aft down the shitter, shoulda been in the pub
