CD based Sat Nav to RNS-E

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there are any problems in changing the CD based sat nav - with the controls by the handbrake - to the full fat DVD RNS-E. I have the symphony 6 stack in dash unit with Bose.
I obviously already have the factory fitted GPS antenna so will all the plugs just swap over.

Any info gratefully received
