Cabriolet roof swap

Is this something anyone's considered or undertaken?

currently have a black roof on my cab and really like the red ones I've seen on some cabs.

What would be involved in a roof swap?

just need the external hood?

I would think if everything works on the hood which you have they could be swapped. Not sure how the motor connects to the roof itself though? Also I wouldn't want to take on a job like that without the help of a specialist. Cab roofs are temperamental as they are, without swapping them. Could you re-colour the roof instead?

just use the cover dont do the full roof
i had a black put on my old b6 cab as old roof was blue
