Tried numerous headlight bulbs on my a3, 8l facelift 2001, but still to no avail of achieving brighter headlights. So im going down the HID route as most of us are these days. Obviously I have projector lights. But whats better/recommended, Bi xenon setup or xenon?

Seems most asn members are using 5k or 6k with the best results?

Thanks in advance

You need some modification for bi-xenon. So xenon is easier to install (place the bulbs..and find a nice place to mount the ballasts).

Most used colour is 6K. Higher number = more blue but less light. Lower number obviously meens more yellow, but more light.

Bixenon just to explain requires a change of projector so that the unit will flip the solenoid in order to deflect the light pattern and give you a high beam and low beam from the same projector. To achieve this you would probably want to look at maybe the morimoto mini d2s (my preferred option) or the H1 kit. Remember the ballast will need to match and the s3 oem ballast fits d2s bulbs. Anyway I hope that helps.
