Are they plastic, are they aluminium?

Ok im not sure what they're made of, but, I do know they're in dire need of a spruce up....

The trim around the windows of my A4 Avant have some form of staining, now I've sorted the rest of the car out but I'm unsure of what (if anything) can clean the trim, I don't want to do more damage.

So my question to the good people of Audi-sport.net is.....

What can I do to fix this?

I would try a clay bar or maybe a colour restorer type stuff ,.e g a/glym

they're plastic and is a common fault, search for it and you'll find the solution (wrap).

I thought they were stretch bent extruded aluminium ?
