CR turbos do a K04 hybrid Stage 1 280-300bhp for £595 +VAT £12 delivery charge. Alot cheaper than that website. . . Might be worth ringing them to find out about there prices on a K03s Hybrid.

    Yeh I think that's using CR Turbo's.

It looks like they use Turbo Dynamics as it's the same price and the wording is exactly the same on the specification also the TD have reduced the prices of the K04 hybrid as have this company.

EDIT: Just noticed the big TD symbol at the top :tocktock:

Not more boost, both can run higher boosts, but hybrid k03/4 will be flowing more air for the same boost.
Ironically i find k03/4 hybrids flowing more mass airflow than their k04 cousins, which I put down to the larger bore std manifolds than k04s run.

you typically see 220-227g/s on the one's i have done, which are both CR hybrids as well as TD ones.
CR are who I use personally. good service seem good to me so far

Essential other parts (imho) are 370cc injectors from 210/225 motor, 80mm maf housing from 210/225 motor,3" downpipe, full exhaust, silicon tip, FMIC, and remap to suit

You will realise 260-280bhp depending on what boost you are prepared to run. more if you run things like water methanol injection

I advise rods on these hybrids, as if you want to unleash them and their boost/torque potential
the highest i have seen on a TD k03/4 hybrid running water meth as well was 296bhp 340lbft, but i think this was an optomistic dyno, and possibly 15bhp approx overstated

just out of interest Bill, what's the rough cost associtated with fitting a set of rods?

I now it's a head off/sump off affair, but what would one be looking in terms of an all in price, supply and fit? Are the gudgeon pins Press fit or circlips?

I'm definately considering a hybrid further down the line.....

I sent another email to them asking for further details. They replied with the following list of parts needed for the upgrade....... No mention of injectors, TIP, MAF and rods which kinda makes me think whether they actually know what they are doing. Apparently they can make use of the standard injectors, Maf etc...by adjusting the map....surely that would compromise power?

    Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo: http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1650
    Hi-Flow exhaust Manifold: http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1099
    Milltek sports-cat and downpip: http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=83
    Milltek cat-back (non-res): http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=87
    THS intercooler: http://fr-rtuning-shop.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=1005

Is the manifold they've listed any good and is it required?

Hybrid fever is running high!!! wish I'd never seen those threads now!!

    thanks
