I just had an APR remap carried out by an APR representative
From USA last Friday. (Managing director of APR).
I also had cruise control retrofitted at the same time to make
the map switchable.
The work was quite involved because my ECU had a lock out
device which made the physical extraction of the ECU difficult .
But after a couple of hours the ECU was out and the map was loaded.
Now the take off is much more quicker and almost REVO like but a
lot more controllable, the mid range delivery is aggressive which
Is typical of a good map but I am yet to explore the top end power.
Now the car has about 5 programmes loaded which can be user
Selectable via the cruise control stalk.
1). Stock mode which is just a standard mode
2). Race mode for unleaded RON 95
3). Race mode for super unleaded RON 97 RON98 & RON99
4). Valet mode which cuts 80% of power
5). Security lock out device which prevents the being driven even if the key has
Has being stolen the car will start but not accelerate.
i would highly recommend APR to anyone especially for those who lend their cars out and cars on
some form of warrantee.
When i have time and extra funds i will stick the car on a dyno to
Measure its true power.
