AEB oil capacity

Can someone please confirm the engine oil capacity of an AEB before I attempt my oil change. I put nearly 4.5 litres in last time and was told I overfilled it.

3.5 litres on a std small filter, if you use the larger filter you get an additional half litre.

And stick some oil in the fresh filter before you put it on, it soaks it up like a sponge and it takes the strain off the engine a little when its first started!

Do you recommend changing the filter each oil change? Only driven it 2k miles or so since last filter and oil change.

TBH for £3 or whatever its hardly a great saving to not do it.

its a bit like putting clean trousers over soiled underpants not to do it at the same time as the oil........
