New owner - couple of Q's

Hi all, picked up my '98 A3 1.8T today, got a couple of "new owner" questions /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

First off, its got some nasty mats in it, are the genuine mats still available from the dealer ? and how much am I looking at for them ?

Second, the CD-Changer seems to intermittantly not read discs, is this a common problem that can be solved with a bit of cleaning ?

Last one ! whats oil do you guys recomend to use ?

u lucky git, i want a 1.8t

mats are available, look on ebay mite be able 2 pick them up around 20 quid

If the 'nasty' mats you are referring to are the textured rubber type you might find there is another set of mats underneath them.

As for the CD changer, are you talking about copies or originals, the changer can be fussy with certain brands of CD-R. Otherwise a clean wouldn't do it any harm. Failing that you could pick up a replacement from VAG Parts or e-bay.

Not joy on the mats unfortunatly, and as for the CD Changer, im going to pull it out at the weekend and give it a good clean.

Also, ive picked up some clear side repeaters - how easy do the old ones clip off ?

oh yeah, and any ideas about what oil i should be using ?
