Cleaning inside of headlight glass.

The inside of my headlight glass on my 98 A4 is dirty and I was wondering if there was any way of cleaning it? Is this a common issue with the B5?

pull out unit and glass is held on with clips (some under top rubber), remove them and give it a clean

Nice one, going to give it a go today so thought I'd get some pointers before I started. Cheers.
