Removing sidelights?

Ok, it looks quite fiddly to get to, but long nosed pliers will be used.
Question is - how does the bulb holder come out? Twist and pull or just pull?

To remove the side lights the bulb holder simply pulls out and the same too for the bulbs. No tools are required.

i've never needed pliers to change bulbs on my A4...
