that means they will change the cluster millage to suit the new engine?

Not neccessarily & doubtful, the engine ecu will stay as is cause effectively the car has done that mileage already, no reason to change mileage.

hmm oh ok then would the ecu adjust the service intervals appropriately then :S

Service intervals would be reset, as most service items, if not all are part of the new engine, so should be set to maximum mileage to next service
