engine management light and firing a cylinder down

my guess is a coil pack......I don't think it has been too happy since the re-map.

Gonna try and take it to the garage 2mo is there anything else I should get them to look for.....also will I be doing any long term damage by driving it to the garge? its about 3m miles away.

You should be ok getting to the garage, as it does sound like a coil pack, just make sure you dont drive on boost.

Also if it does end up being that, make sure you only use the genuine packs from Audi, as the others will not last as long and will only end up costing you more.

boost.........what boost???? haha! its at the garage now and i'm praying its only the coil packs, taken it to a VW specialist so he will use all offical parts! thanks for the advice!

Most commonly its coil packs! Mine did exactly the same, but luckily happened while being remapped

garage just phoned infact it was 2 coil packs nakered! so im going ahead and replacing them all!! best bit is ive got the 2 that were nakered covered under warranty! success!

Nice when a plan comes together, and now you have 2 spares in case something happens again.
