MFSW - Wanted and some advice

Hi all,

I'm wanting to change my 2005 S-Line (B7) steering wheel to a MFSW (not a FB). They keep cropping up on ebay from time to time but I wondered if anyone had that parts software thingummybob that would confirm if I needed a new slip ring and/or control unit? Presumably they would need my chassis number?

Would the software (is it called Elsawin?) tell me the part numbers of what I need?

Would anyone have a MFSW going spare after upgrading to a FBMFSW?

Does anyone know whether there would be difficulties fitting a B8 MFSW to a B7? Seems to be a nicer, meatier wheel?
