Hi,

I had my front ARB and lower suspension arm bushes replaced in Jan this year. However after doing some driving, iv noticed a squeeky, creaky noise coming from the front suspension when going over the slightest of bumps.
having looked at some threads, a few people are saying that using spray grease on the ARB bushes could do the trick..

Any suggestions guys cus its driving me crazy???

I had an annoying creecky sound coming from my front suspension for ages, had a proper look one day and it turned out to be a crack in the plastic sleeve on the arb where your bush goes round. I would have never belived that this problem could cause such annoyance if i hadnt seen it for myself. Sorted it out and havent heard anything since. Hope this helps.

could be the sleve on the ARB where the bush sits, its quite a common problem and one of the reasons I swapped to R32 ARb`s. they all use the same bush just the S3 has a sleve to make that area the correct thickness. I have a S3 ARB here with a split sleve and that had only done 25k.

Hi all,

Managed to spray the bushes with spray grease, it really helped but only for a few days, seems like the bushes have dryed out once again and returned with the most annoying squeeking noise. Any ideas as to what i can do?? Should I replace the bushes or the actual ARB itself???

I had the mother of all creaks, changed the ARB bushes and linkage, it was good for 2 weeks and now it has started again, nowhere near as bad but still ****** annoying, the local Audi specialist here said that the ARB never break so there would be no need in changing them, if it gets worse though I will be changing them aswell.

It is ****** annoying. I only get it when im turning the car to the left with the creak coming from the right side. Going to have another go at spraying it with some proper grease and not just PTFE lubricant spray i used. Hope it does the trick.

I get this rarely to, must be a common fault, its annoying as hell! Could it be the shock absorbers? if you find a cure, could you let me know. Cheers:search:
