Hi can anyone tell me what the part number is I think I need a new turbo changed the MAF and still no joy. Garage thinks it the turbo. So gutted and one know off any sensibly priced places also?

My cars a 97 110 1.9 tdi

Ta:(

I can check with my reconditioners tomorrow, from Audi, it's about £700.

Actually, just noticed the year of your car.

Part number for a '97 AFN is 028 145 702CX.

I'll get you a more-palatable price tomorrow, might be exchange too, just like Audi, but we'll see.

No worries, will PM you tomorrow lunchtime.

ive got one ,its 2years old ,got itnew from garret ,its on a spare engine in garage

Right spoke to my Loacal (under the arches type) Garage, and he now think's it's not the Turbo as it's not smoking? So I've bitten the bullet and booked it in with a diesel specialist which is a good 60 mile round trip, I'm going to see what they say first before splashing out on a turbo? As for the people I've spoken too they seem to think it's sensor/solinoid?
Hopefully have a better Idea tuesday for sure what I need doh!

Drives ok'ish up to 2k revs then just really struggles to climb any higher up the rev range where the turbo turque comes in. But No black smoke tried a new MAF sensor still the same.

any fault codes?

Could be the N75 valve or the wastegate/actuator?

have you taken the turbo inlet pipe off and checked the compressor is free to turn and has no play?

N75 valve is connected to the turbo and the ecu and is used to control the boost pressure, If faulty you may simply get no boost, although i'm not entirely familiar with how it works on a derv motor especially if it has a variable geometry turbo.

Ah right, I just hope I know one way or another on Tuesday what I'm going to have to fork out for? Just spent a small fortune on the Audi and my GTI. Bar hum bug

Car sorted a solinoid that controls the Actuator, as it's a mechanical part? N75? the fault wouldn't come up as a engine fault. So my babys running again. Woh ooohh
