s3 gauge cluster in an a3?

Dont see why it wouldnt, just seems a waste of time tho
You do get issues with them not working tho, and you find that on the S3 there are about 5 different clusters but they all look the same, its to do with PR build codes for signal type and pick up etc

just asking because i need a new cluster for my a3 and i found some for s3's.

As I say, you have to be careful with coding issues, can have problems with the ecu and convienience control unit etc
Id personally get it sortd with a new unit rather than **** about with 2nd hand units
Plus then the new clocks would be coded to the correct milage keeping things nice and in line
