HID conversion kits

Hi

I have a 2001 A3 facelift model. I want a conversion done to HID and dont know if i can or not.
Are thay legal? Can my lights handle them? And what are the best ones to go for?

Hiya

Did this few weeks ago.

Your going to need a H1 HID kit. Look on ebay for a suitable set. I went for 4300k's more than happy.

One thing to note in my case is, one side is brighter than the other.. swapped over ballasts and bulbs... same thing. Appears the NS headlamp has been changed at some stage during its life (looks newer too) and the light isn't as smudged through the projector as the OS one is..

thanks for this. all this HID makes my head spin. people say there ok and people say there not. Other poeple have mix thoughts about them is well.

i've got the same problem.
do they work ?
same ppl say that if you fit an HID KIT the warning beam light may came on on the dash.
has any one heard about this?
