A4 (B6) remote locking/electric windows

Greetings to all. Had my A4 Avant TDI just a couple of weeks now. 2003 model with 48000 miles on the clock. I'm very pleased with it so far but on 2 or 3 occasions something strange has happened when locking it with the remote..........all four windows have wound themselves halfway down.
Anyone got a clue? What should I be checking?

This is a feature of the car. If you are unlocking and you hold the button down for 3 odd seconds all the windows wind down, handy on a warm day to help the car cool down before you get in. its the same if you lock the car if any windows are down holding the lock button will cause them to close. This confused me when I first got my A6
