The subwoofer in my Audi A3 g-tron 2015 (8V) stopped working recently, it has a fault code B106C13 on Multimedia (5F), OBDeleven says the subwoofer in a Open circuit status. I checked the subwoofer wiring with a multimeter but it showed zero volts, even if it was playing a song. The subwoofer is the same as in the e-tron.
I also did some digging on this forum and I assume the Audi Sound System doesn't have a dedicated amplifier and the issue lies in the MMI.
I also tried using my friend's B&O subwoofer but it had 4 pins instead of 2 pins in my sub, so there was no easy way to test it.
Is there anything else I could do to avoid switching out the MMI altogether?
