Took my car to a Mavis to get a tyre replaced. Whilst it was jacked up they brought it to my attention that my shocks show signs of leaking and needed replacing. I figured it's an upsell, they checked the computer several times - presumably for stock availability, before chatting to me about it. It's a 2016 A3 with 90k miles on the clock. It's only driven about 5k-10k miles a year but we are in New Jersey which has notorious pot holes. I'm happy to have my mechanic do this if it's necessary. My annual service is coming up this month. Are there any obvious signs looking at the photos?

Really, where are the signs of leaks, ideally pics of the bottoms to check the surrounding areas for residue would help, but I can't see anything on those pics to suggest.
I'd be expecting to see something like my photo below with clear evidence of misting around the damper. I replaced this at around 70k miles, quite a common job on these cars but really easy to do yourself.
