06D 103 634 OIL DIPSTICK TUBE LOWER METAL PART A3 8L 1997 AGN

I was wondering if anybody has attempted to remove the dipstick guide metal part to block from the top with a vice grip slide hammer etc not my one in the pic lol internet for identification purposes my original one was before the revision to 06D 103 634 E OIL DIPSTICK TUBE so it is just plain metal no o-ring and plastic top, my reason being I have just fitted an ECS billet dipstick and metal upper somewhat loose compared to the plastic one but when everything was attached to the tab it seems to be stable used the o-ring provided but wanted to swap out the old 06D 103 634 for the new for a better fit 06D 103 634 E on the ecs parts which are a good match to the OEM parts I removed oil level etc apart from the obvious I have done much research and it all points mainly to the sump removal oil change due soon! So if not possible, I will have to have the sump off thanks in advance for any info tips or tricks all the best @MPH
