ABC, Traction & flashing brake lights

Hi all,

took a chance on a very clean interior A3 2008 for cheap. Apart from driver's door window issue, there are these 3 lights on all the time. The seller discounted another £300 off offer price saying that the last time he started there were no signs. Reading here, cheapest and easiest is to look for speed sensors and brake light fuse. I borrowed Vdubdiag and the only error code showing is 01130. I can clear it but comes back within few mins. The live data from speed sensors are reading correctly on all four. After some youtubing, looked under the steering wheel and there's no brake light switch. I checked 5/6 times with torch and work light and definitely nothing that resemble a plug anywhere around footwell. It seems like other location is master cylinder which seems much harder with limited access at least on Golf V on youtube. Not sure where in engine bay is this thing located as can't find any video or pictures. Tried to look but no idea what I'm looking for . Appreciate if someone can post a pics for the switch location.

I am trying to find vcds scan service around Woolwich area but needed to be cheap . I don't mind paying for ABS repair but just want to make sure before parting with cash.

So did You check all the fuses?
Did the previous owner maybe retrofitted something recently to the car?

HI, thanks for replying back. The first result on google came with that Ross-tech guidance. Yes I did checked all fuses and engine bay fuse box. One odd re fuses is the ABS fuse is 20A rather than 30A in engine bay fuse. Found others having similar when googling. The previous owner did replaced the inner rear light housing which he admitted was from wrong model (pre or facelift). The inner lights also need replacing in future as it's not properly flushed with the body. I was already planning to disconnect those on my day off. I did more tests and brake light switch is showing data during live.

Edit: I'm not even sure if it's a facelift one. The front grill from web pics looks like facelift but the car's production date is June 2008. It's a basic 1.6 with no tfsi/tsi/fsi.

I have been looking at ebay listings and abs units can be had for cheap. Maybe I can buy one and just ask the garage to replace it. Now question is do I need to match the exact module no or can use any compatible ones. The current one is 1K0907379CD. Newer ones are 1K0907379B(B-L).

The larger fuse rating I think could be the red flag that something is from with the ABS pump. It is possible to restore the electrical part of those. But if you can get one from wreckers - You could at least test that it's faulty.

I was wrong on fuse. the 20A is ABS valves (F4). Both ABS fuses are 30A. Anyway there's also fault on o2 sensor bank 1 s2. Anyone knows the replacement part no and where is this located pls?

We changed the ABS but coding got rejected. I went with 1K0907379CC to replace original 1K0907379AD as on Ross Tech Forum Post it was stated it's backward compatible but need few extra coding. "Coding rejected. Error 12: Sub function not supported or invalid format". Auto Scan after replacing:

Any ideas how to resolve this? We double triple checked the original code, added 4 zeroes but not being accepted.

All sorted and all faults cleared. After adding 4 zeroes (from AD's byte 17 to CC's Byte 19 code) ,Byte 19 must be set. No TPMS and 1s ESC button press ESC OFF = 40. Also needed new Hex value (A0) for Byte 16 with bit 1,2,3 & 4 disabled + bit 7 enabled.
