Over 21 years , it’s been a while! My real post count should be in the 10- 20k range ( more on that later)
Only a few die hard members may remember ,
I started here in Dec 2001 as “S3Maybe” when I was still in my Vectra GSI 2.5 V6
Audi sport had not long changed from its previous form Sport3.net
The GSI was sold and I bought a brand new
2002 8L 225 S3 in Ferrari Rosso Corsa from a member here called Colin M who ran Sport-Import while the Euro was good.
With the new car came userid Paul-S3
In 2003 I bought one of the last 8L S3’s again through Sport-Import and 2 forum members then had the Rosso Corsa S3 after me.
This time a 2003 8L 225 S3 in Ebony Black, fully loaded including German option of the quattro GmbH lowered suspension that was not available in the UK. This and the Ferrari S3 were modified sensibly. The black one getting in the range of 275 Bhp and 290 lbft ( from
Memory and one of the many rolling road days that we all used to attend …
I don’t remember the exact time, but there was an implosion on Asn, between the then owners and unfortunately a big chunk split off and a rival site was formed called Tyresmoke or TSN.
This was built from Audi enthusiasts and senior asn members , and evolved into a multi format forum as people upgraded and moved away from Audi into other brands .
For a while I tried to be members in both but eventually a “database error “ corrupted the site and all our content was lost including posts and accounts. Both sites continued on independantly .
Nearly 10 after the Ebony S3
I bought a 2010 8P 265 black edition S3 in Sprint Blue.
In 2014 this was swapped out for a
2012 8P RS3 in Misano
And now 9 years later I have changed to an
RS6 Performance. And so a new user Id…
