RIP Daytona 500 (or Uncle Fester)

Just found out today another 8P RS3 owner has passed away last week.

I first met Ben on here / RS3OC in 2013, we were part of a small few that bought the original 8P RS3 way back when.

He’d owned several RS3’s over the years as well as a S5 / SQ5 / RS4 Avant

Keen photographer in the last 5 years too especially at the Mach Loop in Wales.

Most on here in this section will have long gone / moved on I suppose, but I thought I’d post this in case anyone drops in.

It is Sandra.

He was a large contributor on here in the early RS3 days.

I hadn’t spoken to him since May and messaged him late last week, but oddly no message read and no answer / reply.

I found out off another ex RS 3 owner yesterday the shocking news, as it sounds like what happened actually happened last week.

Very very sad news.

Indeed very very sad mate.

I was hoping more people would see this.

His funeral is Friday 6th Oct at 9.30 at Colwyn bay crem.

So sad to hear the news of his passing, thanks to Vito for sharing.
I met Ben at one of the early meets and became friends. He stay at ours once when we had the meet at Castle Combe.
Lost contact when we all moved away from the 8p.
RIP old friend.
