Hi, I have a new car on order which has an approximate delivery for beginning of October.
Seems early but would like to gauge the market to sell my car privately rather than getting ripped off by the usual buyers of any car.
The car is a 67 plate 2.0 TDI S Line Coupe with roughly 68000 miles.
Both the engine and gearbox have been remapped with various mods on exterior styling as can be seen in the attached pictures.
I would welcome any advice on price as I have noticed these selling for around £19k.

Sorry forgot to mention that the timing belt/water pump service was carried out late 2021 and the gearbox box service recently carried out.
The car also has the remainder of an Audi service plan until 2024 which is transferable with the vehicle.

If you are happy to work at selling then I would gauge the prices on Autotrader and the like then pitch your car in that price range but make sure you have lots of good photos showing all 4 wheels plus interior and every angle of the exterior.

you may get contact with silly offers - you just have to ignore if your confident your price is in the right ball park.

I would ignore WBAC as they always low ball - good if you want to sell quickly and not price sensitive.

I am about to sell my dad’s TT as he no longer drives and didn’t want to sell privately and Motorway seem to be the best. I had to submit lots of photos and any areas of damage etc plus all service history.

I spoke to a member of their team who was helpful and explained all the process then said that they would put it into their sales with a reserve price taking into account the defects I highlighted ( I was happy with that revised valuation as I’d had a quote for the repairs myself).

It’s up for sale tomorrow so fingers crossed it reaches at least that price !

It might be worth trying Carwow or motorway as they will without obligation give you an honest valuation.

I’m not sure if it’s the same for the A5 Coupe as it is the S5 Coupe but a dealer told me they take forever to sell and sit on the market for months.
If you’re able to wait 2+ months for it to sell privately at market value then go for it, but if you need it gone fast trading it in or companies like WBAC are your best option.

PS mods don’t add value to used cars, the only impact is alienating some potential buyers.

Thanks for the info, may go down the same route when the time comes.

Further images of car, new car has been brought forward to mid July so looking to sell then.
Drop me a message if interested and I can discuss the extras the car has.
Looking for a fair price, generally £19k on forecourts.

No worries, not expecting mods to increase value.

My 27 year old nephew found out the hard way on that one! He had a Corsa that he had added over £4k's worth of mods to it (boy racer stuff like air suspension, twin exhausts, body kits etc), when he sold it he got £5.5k for it from a specialist place down south! All local dealers offered £6k when they thought it was a standard Corsa, then when they found out about his mods they didn't want to know. So £4.5k wasted.

He then bought a very nice BMW 1 series M-Sport shadow edition...I told him to keep it standard and reminded him about the Corsa! He said he would...6 months later has he? No, he's put skirts and splitter on, wind deflectors, dark glass tints, took the rear valance off and put an M140 one on with twin exhaust, changed the side mirrors, put dark headlights on it, stick on carbon fibre to the inside meatal trims and the idiot wants to get some lad he knows to fit paddle shifters to it, as it doesn't have them as standard...Oh the car is under warranty as well!!!

I said you will never be able to sell that back to a main dealership now!

Rant over lol.

Christ I’d have thought a £4k hit on a corsa would be enough to put him off for good

That’s partly why with my S5 everything I’ve done is either a genuine Audi part (carbon mirrors/black edition grille) or can simply be peeled off (wrapped)

He's an idiot mate, yesterday he told me that he'd just spent £250 to lower the springs, so that the gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch is less!!! A fool and his money!

Update, new car is coming early July, had some interest at £17500. So looking at offers in that region. So once new car arrives it’s up for grabs.
