Oil pressure warning

So, I’ve previously had the pleasure of having the light come on. 2007 A4 170. That was new balance shaft, turbo and whatever else they added on.

Yesterday, the light came on again! No luck with this car for me.

Could the balance shaft have gone again within 2 years? Or is this looking like the oil pump is gone this time?

Anyone else had this happen twice? Preparing for the worst now. Might be a case of scrapping it which i don’t want to do. Had a new clutch on less than a month ago and less than 1000 miles!

So, had it in the garage for a few hours and in the end and they wanted another 4-6 hours diagnosis. Had it towed to my work and it looks like the turbo and pipes are soaked in oil.

Could be less than I was fearing and could just be a feed pipe has split.

Might not be bad news after all

So, someone has been out to it today. He’s had all the pipe work off, no damage to the turbo, not really any oil in the pipes either. He’s drained the oil, nothing bad looking in the oil. He took the oil filter out, that looked like it had been chewed to bits. All bent and broken.

Might just be ok!
