Hi all,
Hoping to get out to Portugal end of September and I’ve had the idea of driving…….. has anyone had any problems doing long road trips in the RS3’s? I’ve got the 2019 DNWA version.
Understand it will be so much more expensive to drive rather than fly but I’ve wanted to do a proper road trip for years and I finally may have the opportunity to do it .
Any tips/pointers/advice etc etc would be appreciated

I haven’t done a trip as far as Portugal in my PFL, but I do use it for 500-mile journeys on business and have done so for many years in predecessor S3s and A3 2.0Ts. These can sometimes combine so that a few days are like a road trip.

It’s one of the reasons I like the base car in high spec so much - they’re great cruisers and the interiors are very well suited to long distances. Driven sensibly an RS3 will realistically see you stop for fuel every 350-400 miles.

I doubt you need to do more than check basics, keep water on board and an eye on your fatigue.
