Hi everyone,
this is my very first forum post ever, so we'll se how I manage.
My car is a 2016 RS3 PFL
I am looking into going stage 2 and i have some questions towards that. For hardware I will go for a panel filter, but upgraded 89mm pipes, I heard this has the best price/ performance ratio. I am also doing a full decat, so downpipe and secondary cats. Now i would like to ask is an upgraded interooler mandatory or just advisory? Same goes for the DSG software, as the car would get a solid torque boost 150-200NM, should i go for a DSG remap too? Also are there any other parts you would advise upgrading?
Thanks in advance guys:sign imnew::hi:

Afaik these will only get to 450hp unless turbo is upgraded. Stage 2 I guess would take you to 450?

Yes, exactly around 450PS 650NM, thats about +100 and +200 over stock, cant be mad about that. And its a daily driven car, wont go too crazy. Even though after stage 2 i guess there isnt much more Id have to change for a turbo upgrade, so that might be a possibilty sometime in the future.

Basic rule of thumb for stage 2 is:

Cold air intake
Intercooler
Decat

I have a 8V1 RS3 with the following mods:

Decat downpipe
Forge Motorsport Intercooler
Forge Motorsport BOV / throttle elbow
Leyo Motorsport Intake
Leyo Motorsport Boost Pipes
Autotech HPFP
Stage 2 Progressive Watermeth kit
Dogbone Mount
Lightweight wheels with Good year F1 Eagle tyres

As I do my own tuning, we peak around 1.7bar and settle at 1bar redline with 21-22 degrees of timing advance.

415whp and 620nm of torque at the wheels (4WD Dyno).

Runs great daily, no issues.

I always suggest to do TCU software when the NM jump quite significantly. This protects the clucthes and reduce the risk of clutch slippage (which wears out the clutches quite badly). I also recommend changing the DSG oil every 15k miles / 25k kilometers when you have tuned car. Basic transmission settings / clutch adaptions is also important every few months (i do mine like every 4-6 months depending on how i drive).

With our stage 2 TCU files we increase the clamping pressures slightly (around 2bar) - you also get the normal features of Stage 2 TCU like shift speeds, shift points and torque limits.

Feel free to DM me any questions that you have.

Cheers

I went with Revo Stage 2 upgraded from Revo Stage 1 for my 2016 model with the following hardware:-

Airtec Intercooler
Milltek SSXAU587 Primary Hi-Flow Sports Cat and Turbo Elbow
Revo Carbon Series Intake
Revo Propanel Air Filter Element
Revo Switchable map (Stock, 95, 98, 102)

I felt the Stage 1 with an air intake gave a bigger jump in performance over stock compared with going from Stage 1 to Stage 2 with low end torque making it feel quicker over stock and more drivable day to day.

Comparing Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes there is a noticeable increase in performance with acceleration with stage 2 being 7% better for each 10mph increment acceleration from 60mph to 120mph and 8% better for each 10mph increment acceleration from 130mph to 170mph.

Maximum speed wasn’t much different at just over 170mph over the same distance.

I had it dynode with the 98 Ron map and it produced 445hp so it feels like 450hp with it set to 102Ron map.
