Hoping someone has come across something similar before, so here goes!
I have a 2.0 TDI A3 (8P chasis) and it had a yellow "oil sensor" warning saying "sensor deffective" come up a while back, I've had the sensor replaced with a genuine VWAG part, and the warning is still on intemittently. There's no pressure warnings and I frequently check the levels so I assumed there was a wiring issue until today.
I've discovered that if the car is parked on a decline (nose facing down a hill) then the warning light will be on when I come back to the car. However if its parked on an incline (nose facing up the hill) - even if its just a small 3/4% incline, then the light doesn't come on, and it stays off the entire time I'm driving.
Anyone have any ideas? Oil levels are all spot on!
