B8 A4 - Passenger Door Issues

Hi all, having an interesting issue with the passenger side front door on my 2010 A4 Avant.

It will not open from the outside after unlocking the car. However, if I get in the car, open the door from the inside, close it again, then try opening it from the outside, it works fine. So the door can be opened from the outside but only after opening it once from the inside first. Strange!

I have found a couple of similar stories online but no definitive causes or fixes. Has anyone experienced anything similar and found a solution?

Help Please - Central locking issue

Hi guys, This isn’t for my car by for my Dads. He has a 2008 A4 and his central locking has developed an issue. When he locks the car, all the doors lock. When he unlocks the car, all the doors unlock and open apart from the drivers door. So the door works once it’s opened from the inside...

This is a common problem. You'll need to replace the door latch. I had to do 3 of my doors when I had my A4.

Yeah door lock & if it's keyless, the sensors get water ingress & need replacing.

Very late reply, apologies. But thanks all for the suggestions, now confirmed as dodgy door lock!
