Great forum! I’ve been lurking around for a while and there’s a wealth of info here. I’m new to Audi’s having had Impreza’s for the past 12 years. We bought a 2015 Q7 as the family wagon last summer and I’ve been very impressed with it!
We now have another baby on the way so I’m planning to sell one of the Subaru’s and purchase an S3 8p to use as a second car and do the odd track day in. I’ll be looking at the lower end of the market probably with a budget around £10-12k. Being new to Audi (other than a TT I owned back in 2004!) is there anything I should be looking out for when I begin my search? I do nearly all of my own work on my Subaru’s so I know my way around a car but forewarned is forearmed. Also, I’ve seen a few modified examples, are these best avoided or are the modifying pathways fairly universal? As I’ll be looking to get to a few track days a year I’m not adverse to sensible mods but is there anything to steer away from?
