The airbag warning light came on, when scanned by garage it came as left rear seat belt tensioner. Stripped back to repair and found that car does not have this fitted. Checked wiring diagram and this is only fitted North American spec cars but this is an unmodified UK spec car. They have tried to flash the module but the error keeps coming back. Anyone any ideas.

You've not advised of car data or the error code specifically.

Thanks for response. I don't have the code from the garage, but they told me it related to the rear passenger side seat belt tensioner. I will see if I can the code.

The fault code is B100811 - PASSENGER LEFT REAR SEAT BELT IGNITER SHORT
CIRCUIT TO GROUND .

This part is only fitted to usa cars , car doesn't have any wiring
from the the control unit to the n/s/r seat belt .

Part number has been checked , svm has been carried out , all unit's
have been checked and upto date software installed

A bit confused looking at replacement module.

Grateful for any help.

Fitting a replacement airbag ECU has solved the problem. Thanks to Unit 20 on the Wirral for finding a second hand unit, coding and fitting.
