RS3 8Y Picture Gallery Thread

Can you please give me a link to those RS buttons on the wheel?
Was additional coding required?
Thanks
Do you mean the engine start button? The RS mode button is a standard feature on the cars. :grinning:

Yes, the start button and drive select. I was thinking since they only come on RS car it would be obvious :)

I was just checking in case you were actually meaning the RS mode select button so it could save you some money buying and fitting the other button if that's not what you were talking about. :tearsofjoy:

That is a great and detailed "how to"! Thank you :D

What do you mean by prepare for stick, I'm not a native English speaker so :grimacing:

Some people think Ali express buttons = poor quality.

I've used Ali Ex9re22, Bang00d, longer wait, more choice, easily affordable = worth it.

Agreed.

I was sceptical regarding those buttons I fitted, but they were fine and looked 90% like OEM buttons.

Tends to be the Willy wavers that bang on about fitting a £1500+ OEM R8 wheel

^^ the rear "caliper" on my RS3 came from an R8 as it wasn't possible to install the APR brakes without it back when I got them done. £900 each x2 apparently!

TX.

As T-1000 said, buttons from AliExpress. They're not an easy fit though as the 8Y has an updated gloss black trim so some drilling required.

Do spacers make a difference on the insurance premium.
Never had them on a car but the pic does look good
What are the downsides to them?

Mine didn’t charge extra. Just improved the look rather than adding anything else.

Swapped out the supplied numberplates for ones without the dealer tag sticking out at the bottom, and went for a drive to make sure they wouldn't fall off.

Saloon still looks the nicer variant, I'd have both if offered free but I'd only buy the saloon.
Very nice car in an awesome colour.

It’s wonderful. Is it a white/silver?
I mean fair play paying for a exclusive paint and going down the silver/white route

Love this area of the car! Draws a lot of comments, especially with it being a vent that vents. (Car sat on the slant so arch gap slightly exaggerated).

Me too.

Side skirts are so wide but it’s actually difficult to pick it up in pics very well…
