DRL LED dull on drivers side

Does anybody know if the DRL is powered by the ballast or a different part? Very dull and looks awful, not sure if it’s something to do with VCDS as I’ve seen you can change the brightness somehow too.. thanks in advance

Hiya it’s powered straight from the onboard power supply (or bcm on later models) are yours retrofit or factory fit? Also depending on age do you mean dim like when the indicator is on and it dims that side?

Factory fit and no just dimmed constantly, got a feeling there is a new problem somewhere

Swap sides to test, if it stays its wiring, module in the car, if it moves, new headlight needed.
