ABS plug wires

Hello everyone,
When I retrofitted the hold assist, I noticed something that I would like to ask. I did complete the retrofit but I just would like to know what it is:

On both sides of the plug, there are some bigger round pins (two brown ones on one end and 1 red/white ono on the other end) with some blue-material around it. What is this actually? How are these bigger pins removed? Does the whole pin comes out with the blue material around it attached?

Power and Earth. The rubber is a weather seal. Need a pin removal tool to pop these out.

Are these from the a3 8v abs plug?
I also wonder:
The terminal together with the plug will just come out fine with use of the pin removal tool?
do you specify where to insert the tool? And also. What is the best way to unlock the pins?(purple thing) maybe you could help by circling on the picture?
