Retro fitting footwell lights

Hi,
How easy is it to retro fit footwell lights in my A3 2009 Sportback 8P facelift?
Where do they wire into? I know I can run it from the lights on the ceiling of the car but would think that Audi have a loom and wire it into a module somewhere.

Hey bud I think there’s a diy on here somewhere but if you’re central electrics is the 3 big connector type with built in convenience unit it’s live from pin 50 on the 52 pin connector b I think. If it’s the older type with a lot of smaller connectors it’s live from pin7 on connector B. You can earth them on the body earth.

Bit of advice you might as well add rear footwell lights while you’re at it. Also go for the LED lights 8J0947409A and not 4E0947415. As the output is a lot better, I’ve just changed mine I’ve to the 8J0 ones and am well happy with the results. They’re not that expensive from Audi either

It’s really easy to do. The retrofit is on here, look for RobinA3 he did an excellent write up and also supplies all parts needed to do it.
