Right i have just had my S3 (2001) in for a cambelt today.. drove it home all fine.. stuck it in garage and gave it a quck polish.. left it for an hour started it up and backed out of garage and realised my engine management light was on.. stopped engine and went to restart and it wouldn`t start.. after a while it fired up.. Plugged it into vag-com and it came up with the error of Camshaft sensor to high (I think).. Once started it runs fine but just don`t wanna start.. Is it likely that the guy has caught it when changing belt.. I know he will sort it out for me as hes a good friend.. just wanted to shed some light into the situation..

Is your EPC light on as well? Or is yours not Drive By Wire?

EPC light isn`t on... Just plugged in vag com and heres the code..

16727 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) signal to high
po343 - 35-00

The car was fine before it went it.. I`m guessing he has just caught it somewhere

It probably is just the wiring has been knocked loose slightly, should be easy enough to sort out.

If you do need a new camshaft sensor i've got a spare one, its off a 1.8t so im not sure if its the same. pm me
