Gearbox malfunction- continue driving

So my hubby took my "new" car out earlier and when I hopped in the car a moment ago, there was an error stating GEARBOX MALFUNCTION- CONTINUE DRIVING.
What would cause this error? It's a 2010 Audi Q5. I've only had the car 2 weeks. Please advise. Is it a big issue?

if you have audi breakdown cover ,give them a call and they should be able to come out and advise (or any other breakdown cover ).
Call the dealer and see what they recommend .

I believe it's one of those box's that learns the way each driver drives and adapts shift patterns for each, probably still learning.

Thanks for the response. We do have an extended warranty. The error has since stopped displaying. But I'll keep an eye on it and take the vehicle back should the fault reappear.
