:jester: I'm trying to remove the lower front grill which surrounds the fog lights on my 2001 S3.

Anyone have any tips.

Does the whole bumper have to come off?

Yeah, just pull mate!

I think maybe I need to be clearer. There are 3 black grills set into a plastic grey surround. It's the grey surround and the black grills I want to remove.

as said, the fog grilles yank out.

the middle grille has 10 or 11 removable metal spring clips depending on if its a facelift or not.

The grey surround then has molded on retaining clips that will be very difficult to remove whilst on the car - they're such a tight fit once installed. It'll need some persuasion with a screwdriver.

In order to keep your temper, its definitely a bumper off job.

I thought it might be something like that!

What fun.

I take it the bumper is easy to remove?

Piece of cake - screw in each wheel arch liner - then the 4 clips along the top.

Push the middle through them(try not to lose it) then pop em out and the bumper will pull off

Oooo forgot, the engine's undertray is screwed to the bumper too - have a look under it at the front u'll see - 2 screws iirc

Thanks very much guys.
